Dear Guest,
Julley! Welcome to Fana Resort – your very own abode during your stay in Ladakh. At the outset, we assure you that it shall be our best endeavor to make it your home away from home in every way possible. We hope that you are able to quickly settle in to get ready to soak in and enjoy the natural goodness around you that is bound to awaken your senses, your heart and soul and make for a truly unique and memorable experience. We are so happy that we are able to share this unique natural experience with you. You must appreciate that given the limitation that come with the high altitude and remoteness of the place, all the amenities and material have to be brought all the way from town and we are here to make them available to you in every way possible. Also, while we enjoy Nature’s gift to us, we need to always ensure that we replenish nature in every way we can. Your Resort is a firm believer in sustainable development and minimum environmental impact and is constantly working towards them and towards that goal, we humbly seek your help and cooperation:
  1. Your Resort has recently installed a new renewable solar project that takes care of 99% of the Resort’s power requirement including hot water for your bath, so for hot water for your bath, you must leave the hot water tap open for at least 2 minutes before you can get hot water. In case the weather has been cloudy for 2-3 consecutive days, there is a possibility that the water may not be hot, in which case the Resort staff is there for you to help you with hot water in a bucket.
  2. For drinking water, the Resort has done away with using plastic Bisleri water bottles since their disposal is a growing concern for the sensitive eco-system of the region. There are two glass bottles containing clean filtered RO water for consumption kept in each room, which you can get refilled at any time with the help of Resort staff. There is also a flask containing hot water placed in each room for tea and coffee which you can also ask to be refilled, whenever required.
  3. In case the weather gets cold, please feel free to ask the Resort staff to help you with extra blanket.  Hot water bottle can also be provided upon request. However, there is no provision for heaters in the rooms since they consume high power which the solar power set-up cannot endure.
  4. We request you to always dispose of waste in the designated bins, be it at the Resort premises or elsewhere in public places. In case, there are no bins available, you can always collect the waste and keep it in the car and dispose it at the next stop where bins are available.
  5. All the rooms are non-smoking zones. You are free to smoke on the balcony or outside.
  6. For internet/Wi-Fi, the ID is Fana Resort and password is fanaladakh1. However the internet connectivity is contingent on the network connectivity/server in town.
  7. Lastly, remember to get ample rest, stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, keep warm and smile.
Sincerely,
Fana Resort.
